the morning after

People are waking up all over Winnipeg after the weekend that was. It won't be a productive day at offices. Visitors are leaving for home. A lot are wondering when Winnipeg will host the nation's party again. CJOB radio is reporting that Winnipeg Blue Bombers president Lyle Bauer and Grey Cup committee chairman Gene Dunn are talking with the powers that be in the Manitoba capital about building a new stadium. It could even be a covered stadium. Canad Inns Stadium, which was refurbished for the 1999 Pan-American Games, was expanded to almost 45,000 with temporary seats. It doesn't have the modern amenities standard at most stadiums. It could be modernized or a new stadium at a new site could be a reality by the time Winnipeg is considered in another seven or eight years to host the big game.
